As part of our continued strive for security excellence, it is necessary from time to time to upgrade our core server software. During the month of September 2023, we are planning a number of short outages out of hours in order to upgrade our email server software. These upgrades will cause short delays for both inbound and outbound emails during out of hours, for periods lasting up to 1 hour.

01/09/2023 Planned operating system updates to email servers Ada and Charles between 22:00 and midnight causing reboots and disconnections for a short period. Successfully completed.
04/09/2023 Updating DKIM generating software on Ada. Unsuccessful.
06/09/2023 Looking to upgrade / patch courier-mta on Ada. Postponed – further understanding required.
20/09/2023 A new version of the zdkimfilter for courier-mta was released on the 16th, allowing us to proceed.
29/09/2023 Following the testing of the new version of zdkimfilter, we are successfully now signing DKIM signatures on outbound emails on Ada.
